Fresh off the Easel! "Arrakis", a new Extra Paint piece. and more!

“Arrakis” 2024, 30x40 inches, oil and gold leaf on canvas

I’m delighted to be able to share this new painting I made for my dear friend Maryna Holovanova! This painting is based on the Dune series and features a golden veil, rippling sand, and the weight of space. Working with all of these neutrals was a challenge that took most of this year to accomplish, and I’m thrilled to have finished it!

Prints of this painting will go live in early 2025, so keep an eye out!

“Extra Paint 2024” 18x24 inches, oil on canvas

As a part of Project Green Studio, I never throw away my paint. Instead I apply it to these "Extra Paint” canvases and get a visual history of all the paintings I worked on. This painting holds colors from the Zodiac series and my holiday commissions this year. I love the texture and getting to see the patterns that emerge as I work.

This painting will be available in early 2025!

This sweet little Shimmer painting was a holiday commission that I am really pleased with. If you’ve ever been to Winthrope, WA in the fall, you know this is the feeling of that landscape. Thank you so much Danielle for supporting my work!

“Sugar” and “Crown Shy” 2024, 30x30 inches each. Oil, gold leaf, and paper collage.

In a collaboration with the wonderful Hannah Meadows, we completed two paintings this year where we each made half! “Sugar” is a candy colored delight filled with whimsy and wonder. “Crown Shy” is a woodland piece in honor of our PNW forests.

Prints and the originals of both these paintings will be available in early 2025.

Coming up in 2025:

I’ve got several projects I’m looking forward to including: a large Shimmer collection piece, small works for my next show at Cafe Javasti in April, some gouache paintings in a tarot theme, and a self portrait! Time to get painting!
